Most kids are curious and enjoy finding hidden things. Bible Sleuth: New Testament lets kids combine this fun with stories from the Bible.
There are selected passages from the New Testament that are illustrated as scenes full of people and things to look at. With each one, there are certain people and things to find hidden within the pictures. Kids can have fun finding the people and things while parents read the accompanying story. The scripture reference is also given so that you can read the story from the Bible. This is a great way to get children started on the Bible.
The illustrations are nicely drawn, and there are both easy and more difficult pictures to find. This lets the book appeal to different ages. There is some humor sprinkled throughout the illustrations. One problem I saw, though, is that a few of the hidden pictures were located where the pages meet, and that made it a little difficult to find them.
Overall, I think the book is a good one for parents and children to enjoy together.
I received a free copy of Bible Sleuth: New Testament from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
