I see that meaning something along the lines of, &#8220;I exist, so I deserve to have whatever I want.&#8221; At times, it&#8217;s more like, &#8220;I&#8217;m awesome, give it to me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Though I see this more in youth and children, it does exist in all ages. Especially when we ask God for something. We&#8217;ll start telling Him how good we are, and that all that good makes us deserving of what we are asking for.<\/p>\n<p>If we were to stop and take a long hard look at ourselves, pride, shallowness, all of that stuff, would we still deserve good stuff? If we saw our sin like God sees it, we&#8217;d see what we truly deserve. That would lead to us being thankful that God has mercy on us.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s OK to be happy for not getting what we deserve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At different ages, people go through a stage of entitlement.
