There are many people that want to live without God. There are those that also want to go further, they want all references to God, Jesus, anything related to Them erased from public sight. They do not understand that you cannot just close your eyes to God, and have everything work out. This country was founded on God’s commandments and precepts. Jim Maryott looks at this issue in Love and Truth: From Here to Eternity<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Beginning with telling about love and truth, and how they are intertwined, Maryott goes on to tell how the USA was founded as a God-fearing, Bible believing nation. These values were held in high regard for much of the country’s history, and only recently came under full attack. There are groups that want Christianity removed from the public arena and vocabulary. They want all of this done to make the country more “tolerant” and “accepting.”<\/p>\n

What they do not realize is that there are repercussions for disobeying God. No matter who you are, you will face judgment after death. Your guilt or innocence will be determined by whether you accepted Jesus as Savior or not. If you chose to live your life apart from God, you will spend eternity that same way.<\/p>\n

I found Love and Truth<\/em> to be easy to read. It is written in a way that you don’t have to have extensive theological training to understand what is being said. It might be viewed as judgmental, but is written as a warning. One to keep people from straying away from God, or to call to those who already have.<\/p>\n

Maryott covers quite a bit of national history in the book, and each reference documented on where it came from. I think that it is a good book for people who are concerned about the future of the USA.<\/p>\n
