This week is challenging me to think about spiritual beings.<\/p>\n
We readily accept Jesus Christ as\u00a0our King and the fact that He cast out demons.\u00a0Yet, when we see some one who may or may not be possessed we say they’ve gone crazy, no second thought, they’re just crazy.<\/p>\n
What’s been challenging to me is a friend of mine seems to have lost their mind and was even committed to a psych ward. My first thought was something had taken\u00a0them over, but when questioned about it\u00a0I said I am not a judge of all those things that\u00a0I am not an authority of, only Jesus is.<\/p>\n
Yet, the thought keeps haunting me that something is wrong; the person\u00a0doesn’t need to be in a ward, but freed from the oppressor. It troubles me to think that if\u00a0I willingly accept Christ as my Lord why do\u00a0I not have the\u00a0boldness to say that someone could be possessed? In this country we so readily push things we don’t understand to the side,\u00a0label it with some off the wall name, give it a drug till its in a stupor and then go on. We mask the problem,\u00a0we don’t heal it. We take from the Glory of God when we so readily think that a demon is merely a schizophrenic person and put them in a institution and write them off as a by-product of society.<\/p>\n
What\u00a0we are\u00a0really doing is saying, “God, You don’t exist because we don’t want that demon to be real.” We are so scared that if we truly admit that demons are real then it takes away every scientific explanation\u00a0our puny human minds have come up with to explain things,\u00a0even down to the common cold.<\/p>\n
Stand upon the truth, they are very real, very, very, very real and He who is,\u00a0was and\u00a0is to come has all authority over them. Just\u00a0as He has authority over you\u00a0and me in\u00a0our feeble existence.<\/p>\n
Maybe He is leaning on me to stand up and look at things from a different perspective right now, so\u00a0I will say this; not all things are as they appear. Not every orange is sweet, some are very sour. Same with a grape, it can be sweet or sour. The only difference is, an orange is a orange and a grape is a grape.\u00a0A person is a person and a demon is a demon.<\/p>\n
We don’t understand, or at least I don’t understand, everything that takes place around us. Throughout the day, are there things going on right beside me that\u00a0I don’t see? Well, probably. The\u00a0good thing is my shield, that is, my\u00a0faith in Jesus, protects me from that. What about those who don’t have that same shield?<\/p>\n
Demons are real, possession is real. May we all have discernment in this country to see the difference. Some things can be treated with a pharmaceutical drug, others need a deeper healing; a healing of the soul. Only Jesus can cleanse a wound that deep and bring the healing that is needed. Only He has the authority to do such a bold thing. The\u00a0key is, He is within us and works through us to the Glory of God.<\/p>\n
I hope and pray that some of what I just said makes sense to me in a few days. Not all things will be clear to us all, but may the grace of God open our eyes to see what is true .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
