Don’t be surprised if this isn’t what you thought it was going to be.

It is not odd for us to question God, why He does this but not that, or vice versa. We don’t understand His reasons for everything. We think we do, but I don’t believe we are mentally capable of grasping what would be God’s logic. I catch myself thinking about how I would have handled something differently, but I must also consider that my desired actions illustrate why I don’t need to be God.

Note: This is excusing the fact that I am human, not omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent. This is just to examine how my carnal nature compares to God’s ultimate holiness.

First off, I don’t tolerate intentional or willful ignorance. I don’t care if I see it in myself or others, I don’t like it. I get aggravated. Seeing someone who I know could actually do better choose instead to maintain a sub-par performance is bothersome to me. I don’t mind giving them an opportunity to try again, but second chances are going to be limited. That’s one good reason to be thankful I’m not in charge of the universe.

Next, I don’t always understand the intentions and motives of others. In school, I was easily convinced to do something by the popular kids. Nothing serious, but I ended up getting out in dodge-ball several times because I trusted them. I am not always able to read people like I think I should, and I may think they are upset when they aren’t. Or, I may think they are being nice when they are really after something. God knows our hearts, we cannot fool Him.

There are more ways that I could get into, but I think they are best left to another edition.

A somewhat ambiguous post title.
