Teaching and learning are stressed in churches. You need to read the Bible, listen during sermons and Bible studies. Those who can should teach. Parents need to instruct their children.<\/p>\n

I agree with all that, but, as the old saying goes, “Knowing is half the battle.” What good is knowledge if it just sits on the brain shelf? I can spell and pronounce pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, but only have the occasion to do so once a year, if that. The rest of the year, it sits collecting dust. So, what is the purpose of all the studying people talk about. We should learn as much about the Bible as we can. God provided it so that we can learn of Him and Jesus. What happens then?<\/p>\n

Ideally, we put what we learn into practice. You memorized the Romans Road? Fine, now go share it. You know the Fruit of the Spirit? Great, get it and show it. We have to be careful not to fall into the trap of always learning, never doing. If you were to memorize the entire Bible, but not live it and share it, you just have a party trick.<\/p>\n
