We don’t know much about Caleb before he joins with the Israelites. What his life was like before is not recorded in the Bible and, though not vital to our understanding of God’s word, it lends itself to speculation. Cliff Graham did a great job of writing a fictional account of Caleb’s life in Exodus<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Starting from Caleb’s youth, through his life as a soldier in Egypt and joining the nation of Israel, the story is told from Caleb’s point of view while they are getting ready to attack the giants in the Promised Land. The parts that come from the Bible remain true to what is told there, it is just the unknown events that are filled in from imagination.<\/p>\n

Though it is full of details of this fictional life story, it doesn’t drag along. There is plenty of excitement to hold your attention. It is a bit graphic is spots, it is a book of war after all, it isn’t so much that it will bother most readers.<\/p>\n

Since this is book one of the series, I look forward to reading the next book. Graham’s story of Caleb is not only entertaining, but full of faith in God, even in difficult times. It also shows that your past is not enough for God to stop loving you.<\/p>\n
