Parents often find themselves on the spot when addressing some silly antic from a kid. Things then come out of their mouths that they never would have imagined they&#8217;d ever say. Nathan Ripperger has been there, and compiled some of his crazy sentences in <em>Things I&#8217;ve Said to My Children<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Though I am not a parent, I&#8217;m sure that I could have caused some sayings like this growing up, so I do find the book entertaining. There will be parents who are glad they are not alone in hearing strange phrases said in their voice. You can&#8217;t really be prepared for everything a kid will do, so it is nice to be able to be in good company.<\/p>\n<p>There were plenty of laughs throughout the book, and several times that I was relieved for not having to go through any of what Nathan Ripperger has. Each saying is accompanied by a picture that illustrates what it says, and that adds to the fun.
