Having rooted his life in faith, Jones is able to trust in God for help when trouble hits. That doesn’t mean everything goes as expected, but he knows that God is sovereign and will prevail. This, and seeing prayers answered, deepens his trust.<\/p>\n

Gladden has written a book that does more than provide a good story. He brings to the forefront an issue that we often try to avoid: spiritual warfare. Though there are people causing trouble, they are not the source of the conflict. Jones and his friends are facing spiritual adversaries, just as we do. Even tough this is a fictional story, it reminds us that we, too, battle against powers and principalities.<\/p>\n

I liked the story, though I think it could be made longer. This isn’t really anything against the book or plot, I just think that it would be nice to go a bit deeper in the concept of spiritual warfare. That, and don’t like it when books I enjoy end.<\/p>\n
