CIA operative Monica Alden is assigned to work with FBI agent Kord Davidson. Both prefer to work alone, but they are going to have to cooperate in order to stop the assassination of Prince Omar. With friction between the two and danger all around them, they are in for a fight in DiAnn Mills’ High Treason<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Both Monica and Kord resent being partnered up, and each one struggles with trusting the other at first. This leads to a bit of conflict as they each try to be the one that solves the case. Working together lets them see that they can trust each other. Even with the initial problems, they are focused on doing their jobs and are willing to put their lives on the line if necessary.<\/p>\n

Faith plays a strong role throughout the book. Monica does not hide her beliefs and relies on it when she needs to make tough decisions. Though Kord is unsure about Jesus to begin with, he is not antagonistic towards Monica’s faith. He is willing to listen and wants to find the answers to his purpose in life.<\/p>\n

DiAnn Mills has written a story that keeps you turning the page to find out what happens next and it lets you connect with the characters. She does a great job in writing so that you can understand the struggles and emotions they face. Additionally, there are enough twists to keep the story from being predictable. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good action and suspense book.<\/p>\n
