Dove Strong is the first book of a trilogy, and is a great start to the series. The story gets your attention and holds it throughout the book. Erin Lorence’s attention to detail makes it easy to imagine the events as you read them and paints a clear picture of the characters.<\/p>
Besides the great story, I enjoyed seeing the messages about following God that were part of the personalities of the people. Both sides, Christian and non-believer, were represented. Even the struggles Christians face in obeying God when opposition comes were included. I could relate to several of the issues faced, especially Dove’s problem of saying the wrong things or using the wrong wording.<\/p>
The ideas of faith in God, trusting others, and caring for the lost were evident in the plot. All together, the book is a good illustration of how we can start inserting our own opinions and desires in place of seeking God’s will. I look forward to reading the next books in the series.<\/p>
