The United States is now a republic ruled through brainwashing and making sure any usurpers are dealt with in a way that dissuades others from following suit. People are happy with their illusions, but there are people that think things are not be as good as everybody else imagines. And their number is growing as people wake up to the reality of the so called goodness of the government.<\/p>

The overall story of The Liberty Box<\/em> is pretty good. The main characters are introduced and fleshed out so that they are familiar to the reader. The contrast between what the rebels know and what others believe is worked into the plot to illustrate the dystopian setting. There were times that it seemed like everything moved too quickly. It’s hard to point these out without spoiling parts of the book, but it kind of felt like something happened and the characters said, “Oh, by the way, I did this.” Despite that, the book was a good read.<\/p>

The main thing that I did not like is that I understood that it was clean. Perhaps my idea of clean is different, but there were several cuss words in the book. It would have been better without those.<\/p>
