I think it fits me pretty well.

For one thing, I obey the speed limit at all times. Try telling that at a party. I got laughed at by a teenager that just got their license. I understand that most don’t regard this, as many police allow you a little leeway on speed. I don’t see any need to push it. And, in all honesty, I do go above the limit going down hills and when I try to adjust my speed to allow for an incline, or if the music is fast. However, as soon as I realize that I’m over the speed limit, I slow down.

In fact, I don’t even like driving that much. I had to be one of the few ones that didn’t get excited when I got my license. I got it, went back to school, and continued my usual existence. Driving has never really held the mystique (I’ve always driven Dodges and Fords) for me that it seems to hold for many others.

In school, and still today, I avoid large crowds. I don’t have much fun at parties and large (and loud) concerts. I prefer smaller, and to use a somewhat antiquated term, intimate gatherings. Ones that only have a small number of people. Obviously, I have to be around a large gathering of people at times, but I don’t go out of my way to be in those situations. I am not trying to garner as many acquaintances as possible, but instead nurture a more manageable number of relationships.

I know all of that, and other quirks that I have, make me seem odd. But I can deal with that. Actually, I tend to go out of my way to maintain those quirks. My reasoning? It is perhaps best summed up using the lyrics of a song by Wayne Watson. I’ll leave you to look up the lyrics, but the title will give a good idea, “More That a Little Unusual.”

There’s a title for you.
