I don&#8217;t remember too much about what was said, but one saying does make frequent appearances in my daydreaming. People are not looking for friendly people, they are looking for friends.<\/p>\n<p>I have just finished a round of monologuing, which I do when I&#8217;m working through a topic I want to or will talk about. This particular topic was a Bible study on friend(ship), so that saying popped up again. How often do I\/we act friendly, and call it being a friend?<\/p>\n<p>When I think of friendliness, I gravitate to small talk, &#8220;What about that weather,&#8221; and questions of that nature. Something to show you want to engage the other person.<\/p>\n<p>*Let me take a short break to say that I personally stink at small talk. I just can&#8217;t seem to master the art of saying something meaningful to start a conversation. That might have to do with the fact that I am not much of a conversationalist anyway.*<\/p>\n<p>Thinking about that, is that what people in general pass off as a friendship?
