Most people would like to do away with negativity. I can be on of them, but I also realize that there are limitations to positivity. Before I reach my real thoughts, I’m going to get sidetracked a little. I don’t recommend skipping though, it would make more sense to you if you read it all.<\/p>\n

<\/a>A battery works when one atomic particle, an electron, moves from one end, through a circuit, to the other end. Electrons have a negative charge, and they come out of the negative terminal. Most people know it, but I doubt that many think about the fact we have to have the negative and positive sides for a battery to work. If it had two positive sides, there would be no transfer of power. That is something we pretty much take for granted.<\/p>\n

Let’s take that concept and see if it applies to us. If everything was always good, would we still honor God and acknowledge what He has done? I don’t think we would. I can sit here and say that I would still recognize God as my provider, and I know people have in the past, but I think it would be too easy to forget what He has done if I never had any trouble.<\/p>\n

God doesn’t allow bad stuff to happen because He’s a crotchety old man that likes to cause trouble for others. I’ve had bad stuff happen when I got too big for my britches (or arrogant, for those who may not be familiar with rural witticisms). He is going to discipline us when we are His children. Not only that, there are times that He will use something bad to do something really good. See John 9 for what I am referring to. God will take the negative, use His power and authority, and turn it to the positive.<\/p>\n
