There are some words and phrases that bother me more than others. Any cuss word does, but I’m mainly referring to the words that people say out of habit that aren’t dirty. For example, “like.”<\/p>\n

I once counted a teenager say the word “like” 11 times in one sentence. I don’t think is was that long of a sentence. Other than finding it annoying, and maybe wrong from a grammatical standpoint, there isn’t anything seriously bad about that.<\/p>\n

There are other words and phrases that bother me. “I know, right,” is a big one, especially when males say it. Let’s see, then there’s the overuse of “seriously?” I guess that one is just the next one in line from, “Are you kidding?” I could bore you with a longer list, but then I’d probably make your annoying things list.<\/p>\n

I know you have a list like mine, the words might be different, but you have one nonetheless. Since we are all different, what is fun for one person will be annoying to another.<\/p>\n

There isn’t anything wrong with having opinions like that, but when they turn into disdain for the people who say the words, it then becomes wrong. We tend to be bad about labeling people with their actions. Let me move on from the minor things I’ve been talking about.<\/p>\n

Someone makes a mistake, like stealing a car. From that time on, they are a thief, no matter what else they do, they will be a thief. Not only that, their kids are children of a thief. They “earn” a label because of a bad decision they could do nothing about.<\/p>\n

When we do wrong, we need to be held accountable. But if we are labeled with the mistake, we become objects of scorn. How does that show the love Christ commanded us to show?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
