I don’t know how many posts I have thought about writing here, only to forget what they were or have them fizzle out right after I started typing. Some of them I keep as drafts and come back to later. I have a few drafts almost as old as this blog.

It can be pretty disappointing to have what seems like a great post idea, only to end up with a few sentences. While I was thinking about that this morning, I wondered if that feeling is similar to how God feels when He gives us a great opportunity, and we let it go by because we didn’t like it, or whatever excuse we might put in there.

There is one big difference, my disappointment is about something that won’t matter in a few years, or even a few minutes. When we’re dealing with an opportunity from God, they tend to be about a much longer time period, like forever.
