Big To-Do
With all the activities available today, plus any family obligations, to-do lists seem to be more than a small sheet of paper. If I, for one, was to write down everything I had to do on a given day, down to the smallest item, it would take at least a full size sheet of paper. I tend to write small, so I could conceivably get away with one sheet.
In reality, we don’t list small things on to-do lists. We know we have to put shoes on to go to the grocery; it’s a given. But, it is real easy to forget things that aren’t on our list, even if it is the mental list that we all keep. Two major activities that get pushed aside are prayer and Bible reading. Though they are very important to our daily lives, we seem to leave them off the list too readily.
I will admit, I do much better with a set list and schedule. Surprises are not something I look forward to. With that, I do have a set time for both prayer and Bible study, but that’s no guarantee that will do them wholeheartedly.
This isn’t going to be a thought that I’ll finish in one post. Just to end it with a question, we have God’s promise that He will never leave nor forsake us, why do we seemingly promise to do the opposite to Him?
