No One?
It is fairly common for us to think that our problems are unique, never before experienced by anyone else, at least, not in the same circumstances. We even go so far as to tell others that they have no idea what we’re going through. They may not, and we make no effort to tell them. We want to be not understood, so we keep the people who actually want to help in the dark.
Why do we wallow in our pain? Why do we share the anger so that we can hang on to the pain? Especially when there are people who are right there that want to help.
Ever hear the song “Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen?” We get stuck on that line; the next says that Jesus knows. And He sure does. But He may just as easily send someone to us that has been there, too. Or at least wants to help. Who are we to turn Jesus away?
Am I reading too much into that? It’s possible, but I don’t see why I have to be wrong about that.
