The Bride(zilla) of Christ

bridezillaChurches are places free of conflict. People get along and egos never come into play. OK, so that is far from true. Churches are filled with people who are all fighting their sinful natures, and pain can be the result. How do you handle that? Ted Kluck and Ronnie Martin look at what our response should be when the church becomes The Bride(zilla) of Christ.

No matter how good of a church you go to, conflicts are going to happen. Quite possibly, you have been on one side or the other, either the one hurt or the one that caused the hurt. Neither side is a good one to be on, and we need to work on reconciliation when the hurt happens. Both Kluck and Martin share stories and experiences from their lives to show the types of and reasons for hurting in the church. Much of the time, it is because we forget to show the grace we have been shown.

The Bride(zilla) of Christ gives steps to help work through problems that arise between Christians. Martin and Kluck make it clear that it might be hard to do, and the results may not be what we expect, but we still need to forgive and seek forgiveness.

I believe this book would benefit Christians of all walks, whether they have experienced hurt already or not.

I received a free copy of this book from Blogging For Books in exchange for this honest review.
