One God One Message
Nearly all of us have heard some mention of the gospel. Many believe it, many don’t. Many of each group don’t fully understand it. In One God One Message, P.D. Bramsen presents the gospel from beginning to end in an easy to understand “journey.”
Split into 3 parts, One God One Message deals with 3 parts that one would face on the journey to salvation. First, he describes and gives evidence for how the Bible can be trusted. Using actual questions he has received over the years as starting points, he addresses several obstacles to trusting the Bible. Things like the text being corrupted, not supported by science, and whether it was actually written under God’s influence are confronted, and the truth is given.
After this preparation, the journey begins. P.D. Bramsen begins at the beginning. Describing God, using God’s word, so that we may understand what this is all about. With that understanding, he moves on to the creating, the fall, and then redemption. With each step, he describes the how and why, and addresses questions about the veracity and necessity.
Once the reason for, cause of, and effect of redemption are told, he moves into the end of the journey. He tells how it was in the past; the way sin was addressed in the Old Testament, how it is addressed now, with Jesus paying the price, and what is to come. This includes a brief glimpse of heaven, using what John wrote in Revelation.
One God One Message is easy to read, and explains those things that are harder to understand. It is written to be gone through as a whole, but I think it also could be used to reference specific questions Christians may hear. With that, I believe it is useful for Christians, who know the truth, and for those who are seeking the truth alike.
P.D. Bramsen has done an excellent job of not only presenting the gospel, but explaining it.
