Signs, Wonders and a Baptist Preacher

We often limit God, and generally don’t aim to or even realize we are. We know that God can do anything, but have trouble putting that knowledge into practice. Chad Norris talks about moving passed that mindset inĀ Signs, Wonders and a Baptist Preacher.

Telling how he came to realize that there is more to life than boilerplate prayers for health and healing, he shows how he now sees abnormal for us may not be abnormal for God. He tells how he has seen prayers for healing be answered immediately, and that he is guided by God in a more direct manner.

Norris made sure to express caution on two points; you may be thought of as odd, or even crazy, when you have similar experiences to what he describes. He also cautions that it will can take time, both to be ready to see the signs, and for them to occur.

Though the book is well written, and has many good points, I found it hard to read for any extended period of time. I don’t think this is the author’s fault, I just didn’t get engaged by the book. I think that is due to my reading style and preferences.

I received a free copy of this book from Chosen Books in exchange for this review.
