America has come under martial law, with the government doing whatever it wants to, all in the name of supposedly doing what is best for the people. Two sisters, Rebecca and Christina, have been secretly living outside of the rules. They join a small band of people that fight to take America back in Debra Tash’s Last Call America.
I wanted to like this book. The plot is interesting and the story moves along at a good pace. The characters are down to earth and are easy to relate to. There are plenty of details that let you imagine what is happening.
However, all of that is interspersed with foul language that I can’t tolerate. I don’t agree with using cuss words in stories, and I think that the book would be a lot better without them.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
