I Am Not But I Know I AM
We like to think kind of highly of ourselves, especially after some big accomplishment. But, we need to remember that we only have a bit part in the big Story, and that is the point Louie Giglio makes in I Am Not But I Know I AM.
Using personal stories, and passages from the Bible, he shows how, though it can be easy to elevate ourselves, God is bigger, and the only One who deserves praise. We can do nothing apart from Him, and we would do well to keep that in mind.
On the other hand, if we feel like everything is against us, and have no one to turn to, we can turn to the great I AM. He is more than capable to handle it, considering He created everything.
Louie Giglio does a good job presenting his point, though it got a little long winded for my liking. This is nothing against him, I just thought it could have been shortened and not lose anything. That is my personal opinion, though.
Overall, I thinkĀ I Am Not But I Know I AM is a good book to read, and to share with others.
I received this book from Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for reading it and writing this review.
