The Story Travelers Bible

Introducing kids to the Bible as soon as you can helps form a foundation for reading it throughout their lives. This, in turn, lets them learn to turn to God’s word for guidance. The Story Travelers Bible serves as a good introduction for children to the Bible.

Admittedly, most Bibles are not going to hold the attention of kids for very long. Even translations that are in simple English can be hard for children. The Story Travelers Bible takes well known and important passages from the Bible, and puts them into a format that kids can grasp easily. There are 85 Bible stories in kid-friendly language so that kids can read them or listen to them being read and understand what is happening. The pictures that go along with the stories help kids to see the characters and events. There are also facts about the places to give a deeper understanding of where the events took place. Children are encouraged to stop and think about what each story means for them.

Tracey Madder’s work in writing this book and Tim Crecelius’ illustrations put God’s word into a form that will keep kids engaged. As they grow up, children will be able to remember the stories and then read them from the Bible for themselves. Each story has references to where to find it in the Bible to help with this.

I received a free copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for this honest review.
