Double Cross

Agent Laurel Evertson suffered a great loss during an undercover operation, and blames the man she was working to take down. Now, she has another crime she wants to stop, and has to trust that same man. Along with a local cop, she has to stop a scam targeting elderly people using the help of a man she can’t stand. Will the scam be stopped, or will it end in a Double Cross?

DiAnn Mills continues her FBI: Houston series with this story, and does a great job of writing a book that fits several genres together. Fans of suspense, action, and romance will all find something to like in Double Cross. Being a typical male reader, I don’t go for romance stories, but that aspect is just a part of the story line and I found the plot attention grabbing.

Besides being a book that I had trouble putting down, it is one that has several great messages in it. Faith and salvation are foundational to several of the characters, and their lives reflect their values. Forgiveness is addressed throughout the story, both in forgiving others and self. Family and relationships are shown as necessary to being able to get through tough times.

I really enjoyed reading Double Cross and would recommend to others.

I received a free copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for this review.
