There is a group of people that claim the Bible has no proof outside of itself. Many of the names, according to that group, cannot be found anywhere else. However, there is plenty of evidence from other sources that the people mentioned in the Bible existed. Eve Engelbrite has shown the link between Egyptian history and the pharaohs mentioned in the Bible in her book, Pharaohs of the Bible.

Following the chronological order of the Bible, Engelbrite matches histories of the pharaohs to the events they took part in during the time of ancient Israel, and before. Going beyond just telling the names of the rulers involved, she describes how the separate historical accounts go together, and gives details about the pharaohs that help the reader to better understand what they did.

She also includes details about Israelites that had dealings with pharaohs. Samuel, Saul, David, and more are mentioned. References to the scriptures passages they are found in are provided.

In addition to all of this, information of cities in ancient Egypt, and time lines of rulers are given in appendices.

This is a serious reference book, and is packed with a lot of information that shows how the histories of pharaohs do not conflict with scripture, but fully support it. I believe it is a useful addition to a Bible reference library. Regardless of your level of study, it can be helpful in understanding the interaction of Ancient Egypt and Israel.
