Most Christians agree that they would like to know the Bible better, but doing that is another story. Whatever reason is given for not learning more Bible, Core 52, by Mark E. Moore, can help you get an understanding of 52 important passages.
Each topic is meant to be read in a short time, so you can use it whenever you have time during the day. Their short length also makes it harder to say you are too busy. Along with the explanation of the topic, there are ways to reinforce it throughout the week. At the end of a year, you will have a more in-depth knowledge of the 52 passages in the book, and perhaps, a habit you can use to read more from the Bible.
The essays are straight-forward and simple to grasp. There were a few that seemed to go a little long, but none of them took me more than the stated 15 minutes. Though reading from start to finish would be the best way to go the first time, you can also use the table of contents to locate a topic that you want to find out more about. Moore’s explanations helped me understand several things that I had heard about, but hadn’t been able to sort through. I believe the book would help anyone that wants to get a better grasp on theses Bible verses.
I received a free copy from Waterbrook Multnomah as part of the book launch team, but all opinions are my own.
