Centralia

Peter Ryan awakes one morning looking for his family, but they are no longer around. His friends tell him his wife and daughter were killed in a car accident, but he cannot remember it. His memories are all mixed up, and things don’t make any sense. To top it off, armed men come after him. Who is he, and what is the meaning of Centralia?

While trying to find out what has happened, Peter Ryan uncovers secret programs and finds out that much of what he has been told is false. He has to decide who he can trust and what the truth really is.

Mike Dellosso’s story is well written, and has plenty of excitement. Though there are several plot twists, the story is still easy to follow. It is full of action and suspense, and I found it hard to stop reading; each chapter led into the next one and I wanted to see what was going to happen.

Underneath the action, there is a truth that we all need to keep in mind. Peter tried to avoid surrendering to God, thinking he could do it himself. He finally learned that he was not capable of saving his family or himself. Though we like to be independent, we have to trust God. Having this faith as a theme woven throughout the plot makes it more than just an exciting story.

I received a free copy of Centralia from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for this review.
