Fire Storm has a great story and is one that makes you feel like you’re there watching as things unfold. Nancy Mehl’s book had my attention after the first page and I didn’t want to stop reading.
Besides the gripping plot, the characters are described well enough that you can picture them. Their personalities are revealed a little at a time, just like it often happens in real life. This also keeps you guessing on how it will turn out. The mystery of who is behind the events is concealed behind a few twists and a couple of red herrings that prevent you being certain of the end.
Trusting in God is a big part of life for some of the characters. Seeing something like this in a book helps people see that message in a different light. Especially since the characters share the same spiritual struggles that we face.
I can’t think of anything that was bad in this book. There was mystery, suspense, action, faith, something for everyone. I think this book would appeal to a wide audience. I enjoyed reading the book all the way through.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
