Rude Awakening

So you go to church every week, read the Bible and pray daily, you do all the things Christians do. But, what if you had it wrong, what if there was something you missed? Mark E. Donnelly goes through what he learned in Rude Awakening: What If Everything You Thought Was Right Was Wrong?

After a near death experience, Donnelly takes a look at his Christian walk, and asks God if there was something missing. What he found out is that he needed to do something besides go through the motions.

He chronicles the journey he went through, not as an expert to a student, but as one who is still learning and wanting to help another person learn. He describes three areas of love, upward (loving God), outward (loving others) and inward (loving who you are).

He provides quite a bit to think about, and it would be a good book to keep around and to share with others.

I like the book and the information he gave, I have asked many of the same questions. However, I did find it hard to read very long and any one time. I think that is more me than the book, though.

I received this book from BookCrash in exchange for this review.
