What happens when what you’ve grown accustomed to, the area, the work, what you can do, starts to go downhill? What do you do when the world as you know it starts to change for the worse? Norman Oro writes about a universe where the people encounter this in The Legend of Team 9.

Dr. Jeremy Marshall has noticed that the Allen field, something that all beings in the Alliance depend on in one way or another, is degrading. After having access to it for centuries, the loss of it is causing problems. However, a being made of pure hate is also stirring up trouble. Dr. Marshall joins Team 9, and elite force of explorers to protect the field and stop the hatred.

Though it is a short book, it packs a fair amount of action. The story line does bounce between the different characters. This could cause some people to get confused, but I didn’t have any trouble following along, and the mini plots come together in the end.

I liked the book, and found it pretty entertaining. I would recommend it to others who like science fiction stories.
