Do everything like you’re doing it for the Lord, not people. A paraphrase of Colossians 3:23, but something that I don’t call to mind enough through out the day. What would happen if I actually did that each and every day? Sit back and dream with me a little.

Getting ready for work, I often run over lists, either things that I need to do before leaving, or things that I have to do at work. I can’t recall ever being excited about the whole list. One or two things, yes, but all of it? That’s asking too much. But really, God isn’t asking. The verse doesn’t read, “Will you do everything you do like you’re doing it for the Lord?” It is a statement, a command, a directive, whichever term you use, God is telling us to do that.

I will ask a question; how would life be different if I listened to that verse?
