War Room

WarRoom-cvrThere is a battle raging around us, but not of person versus person. This one is spiritual, and can only be fought on that field. Prayer is the weapon of choice. The Jordan family, after Elizabeth meets Miss Clara, must learn about this fight, and how to use prayer. They must enter the War Room.

Chris Fabry’s War Room is a novelization of the movie of the same name. However, the book stands on its own, so not knowing about the movie won’t affect your understanding of what is going on.

Though it is geared at families, there are situations involving friends and coworkers, and the concepts the Jordan family learn apply to all relationships, not just husbands and wives or parents and children.

The overall point of trusting God through good times and bad is something that we all need to know, and be reminded of. However, there are more points that we need to live by. Things like paying attention to others, not chasing material possessions, and doing what is right even when it hurts.

On top of the spiritual truths, the book is entertaining. I started the book in the morning and finished it the same day; I kept wanting to see what came next.

I received a free copy of War Room from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for this review.
