The Domino Effect

dominoeffectEsther Larsen is a skilled risk analyst, but is treated quite a bit like she is only kept around so long as she is useful. When she discovers a plot that goes beyond being unethical and illegal, to the point of harming millions of people, she must make a decision. Will she risk everything she knows in order to stop The Domino Effect?

Davis Bunn does more than write entertaining books, he weaves a message for Christians throughout the stories. Once Esther realizes there is a plot to cause severe economic problems, she has to not only decide what she will do, she must face her past. After learning to be independent, she now realizes that life is too big not to trust other people. This means that she has to let go of pain and let people care about her.

There is an underlying theme about faith and trusting God. Though this theme is subtle, it is strong, just like you’d see in the book of Esther from the Bible. Those who care for Esther don’t try to intimidate her to let them help, they just love her and help how they can. They encourage her to do what she can.

Every David Bunn book I have read has been one that I enjoyed, and this one is no different. It is fast paced and hard to put down. I recommend The Domino Effect to anyone who wants suspense and action, and a great message.

I received a free copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.
