The Littlest Christmas Kitten

People have all kinds of Christmas traditions, but what if animals had traditions of their own? Imagine the story if an animal, like a cat, had a front row seat to the birth of Christ. Leona Novy Jackson tells what that story might be like in The Littlest Christmas Kitten.

A mother cat searches to find her lost kitten so that all the cats are together for the night. She finds the kitten after being startled by people and hiding in a manger. Later, a baby, Jesus, is born and placed in the same manger.

The story is great for little kids to read on their own, and would also be a great story for parents to read on the nights leading up to Christmas. It is entertaining, while also sharing the introduction of Jesus into the world.

Kelly Dupre created illustrations to go along with the story that kids will enjoy looking at. They help add life to what is being told.

Included in the book are the meanings behind several Christmas images, such as the nativity, candy canes, and the Christmas tree. The Littlest Christmas Kitten can help adults tell the story of Christ’s birth and help children see it in a new way,

I received this book for free from the publisher as part of the BookCrash program.
