Where Dragonwoofs Sleep and The Fading Creeps
Ben wakes up and finds himself in a strange land. As he explores, he meets new people and creatures that had only existed in fairy tales. Soon, he is on an adventure in both the new world and the real world.
A.J. Massey’s Where Dragonwoofs Sleep and The Fading Creeps has several good qualities that make it a fun read. First, the people and lands are well described, so it is easy to imagine what they look like. The story is pretty creative and entertaining.
It also has morals that are taught as the children learn them. They have to decide whether to act for the greater good, or just meet their own needs. Though the characters are from different walks of life, they work together and use their own strengths. The main human characters are social misfits, but they learn more about themselves as the adventure progresses and lean less on pursuing the “in crowd.”
Overall, I enjoyed readingĀ Where Dragonwoofs Sleep and The Fading Creeps. I had a problem with the cuss words. Granted, I only saw three occurrences, but I don’t agree with using foul language at all, and I don’t like seeing it in books.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
