Take Time to Be Holy

Christians are called to be holy, just like God is holy. Many people refer to this a being set apart, and it isn’t something that can be done once and you’re finished. You have to put time into learning about being holy and seeking God. Samuel Logan Brengle describes in many of his books what that entails, and Bob Hostetler takes from those books in Take Time to Be Holy.

With 365 excerpts from Brengle’s works, there are short devotions for each day of the year. Each one helps you set apart time in the day to seek God and become closer to Him. Reading each entry takes no more than a few minutes, but they can have a lasting effect on you.

Each day’s verse gives you something to think about as you go about your life, and the devotion that goes with it is easy to understand and gives a clear message. It is small enough to take with you if you want to so that you can read it when you have time.

Even if you already use a devotional, this would be a good addition to your daily schedule.

I received a free copy of Take Time to Be Holy from Tyndale House in exchange for reviewing it.
