Her goal of keeping people at a distance begins to unravel when a series of crimes with strange circumstances occur. Though romance is a strong component of the plot, there are other elements to that can appeal to a wider audience. The crimes and following investigations create suspense that will keep you wanting to read more. As the two main characters work together, and realize how they feel about one another, they also have to deal with their pasts. The message that we all have value, especially to God, is woven into the story. Deadly Deceits is an entertaining book that gives you something to think about.
