Explaining biblical concepts to young children is not always easy. Getting it into words they understand without watering down the meaning can be hard for many people. Cassie & Caleb Discover God’s Wonderful Design, by Susan Hunt and Richie Hunt, is a great way for parents and teachers to share some of God’s word with children.

Split into 20 stories, children can learn about doing the right thing, relating to others, and about sin and salvation. Every story is easy to read if the child is old enough, or the parent can read it to them. There are pictures to help bring the child in to what is happening, and there are questions that can be used to help further the point of each story.

Even though I am an adult, I found the book pretty entertaining in spots, and could relate to some of what Cassie and Caleb experienced. I think that this would be a good book for parents to use as a sort of devotional time with their kids. Many of the stories build off the previous ones, so it would be easy to use it each say. Teachers could also use it in the classes.
