To Kill a Lion

It can be tough for men to discuss lust, let alone seek out ways to deal with it. We know it exists and is a problem, but don’t always feel comfortable talking about it. Bruce Lengeman writes about overcoming lust using practical steps in To Kill a Lion.

Using his experience as a counselor, and what he has gone through personally, Lengeman relates what he knows about men struggling with lust. He gives both an overview and details about how it is exhibited in men’s lives, and root causes.

Even admitting you struggle with lust can be hard, much less talking about it, but To Kill a Lion helps by creating a starting point to examine your life and where you may need help. The biggest point I remember is just treating the symptoms will not do any long term good, the root problem must be fixed.

This book is written so that you can use it for yourself, or to learn how to help someone else. However, all men could probably stand to take a real look at the issue of lust, as it affects us all at some point.

It is a thorough look at lust, and how men can move beyond it and not be a slave to it. Lengeman never says that it will be easy, but that it needs to be done.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher as part of the BookCrash program.
